The infection (Disease) spreads from one person to other person by nasal droplets. Leprosy hardly spreads from mangabey monkeys, chimpanzees and nine-banded armadillos to humans by direct contact or droplets. Liability to getting leprosy may be due to some human genes. Antibiotics treat leprosy.

Usually, medical professionals used the antibiotics for at least 6 to 12 months
or more to completely cure the disease.
